  • Validation
Shared material inspectors supply the control to both component references. Release checks cover material persistence, bounded allocation and both hosting targets; exact deployment evidence is recorded in the release handoff. Browser layout, close-up appearance and device FPS acceptance remain pending.Read the guide
Release 2026.10.09-diamond-closeups

Diamond close-up quality controls

Stable facet-plane reconstruction and explicit per-material map resolution for magnified gemstones.

  • Fixed
Diamond internal intersections use stored facet plane constants instead of reconstructing planes from a sampled radial distance. This reduces a source of magnified internal steps without softening the material.Read the guide
  • Added
Diamond optics offers Auto, 256, 512, 1024 and 2048 facet-map resolution with per-cut color memory estimates, shared-geometry reuse and bounded allocation. Both component references use the same material inspector.Read the guide
  • Validation
Tests cover resolution validation, material round trips, runtime propagation, device/memory limits, cache reuse and rebaking. Decoded round and marquise geometry from the supplied scene showed about two-thirds lower mean intersection error in a matched-facet numerical test. Native shader compilation was checked separately.Read the guide
  • Limit
The internal tracer remains approximate. More than 16 cuts and deforming geometry retain fallback refraction. Resolution requests may be reduced by the 256 MiB color-map ceiling or device limits. Browser close-up appearance, motion FPS, Safari, Windows and touch acceptance remain pending.Read the guide
Release 2026.10.09-contact-reflections

Contact-aware reflection blur and temperature slider

Sharper reflections at contact, increasing softness with distance, and a simpler Kelvin control.

  • Improved
Flat catchers and mirrored PBR floors use reflected depth to vary roughness blur with distance from the surface. Filtered sampling reduces broad-blur grain; zero roughness remains sharp. Settled catchers retain their cached result.Read the guide
  • Fixed
Color temperature uses a conventional round thumb on a centered, clipped color track. Both component references share the same control.Read the guide
  • Validation
Native graphics checks verify contact-to-distance softening and sharp zero-roughness reflection. Runtime checks cover reflected-depth reconstruction in perspective and orthographic views, history reuse and invalidation. Full local and remote release verification is recorded in the release handoff.Read the guide
  • Limit
Glossy reflection remains a bounded depth-based approximation. Final jewelry-scene visual comparison, motion FPS and browser slider interaction are pending because browser access was blocked. Safari, Windows and touch remain unverified.Read the guide
