Basic: light, save, export

A focused learning path for the core lighting workflow.

Start with the essentials#

  1. Follow Your first lighting setup.
  2. Learn the difference between selection, visibility and preview exclusion in Light Stack.
  3. Add HDRi Environment and fill lights.
  4. Position lights in HDR Canvas and inspect them in Render Preview.
  5. Download a project backup, then export an HDRi.

Grow your lighting skills#

Basic includes Curve, Diffusion Panel, HDRi File and the other light types. Try Curve Editor, linked lights and HDRi to Light Stack. Use Mass Actions for temporary selections and Light Groups for a reusable group.

Keep preview and export separate#

Bloom, lens flare, glare and tone mapping affect the preview image. Global Exposure and enabled Output Filters affect the exported environment. Read Scene Settings before changing both.

Professional adds channel inspection, Preset Library and color effects. Advance adds the pixel probe and extended rendering controls. You can switch modes immediately in Studio menu → Preferences.
