Professional: inspect and reuse

Build on the core workflow#

Professional includes the Basic workflow, plus tools for inspection and reuse. Choose Studio menu → Preferences → Workspace → Usage Mode → Professional; the choice applies immediately.

1. Use the channel menu in HDR Canvas to inspect RGB, RGBA, individual channels or luminance.
2. Open Light Magic and use Preset Library to find reusable content and mark favorites.
3. Refine display color with chromatic aberration, LUT and vignette in Preview Effects.
4. Save alternate lighting setups in My Looks and compare them before applying one.

Color decisions#

A LUT changes the displayed preview, not the linear HDRi export. Do not compensate for a strongly styled LUT by altering the lighting unless that change is intentional. Keep a Beauty view available for judging the scene.

When to use Advance#

The pixel probe, SSR, ambient occlusion, depth of field and extended camera, material, viewport and ground controls require Advance. Consult feature availability for the current boundary.

Shape channels independently#

Use Value Blend and Alpha Multiply to reshape an image’s brightness or transparency without replacing its Main content.
